Oak takes stain differently to walnut. Native Australian timbers like Spotted Gum and Ironbark resist sanding more than exotic hardwoods. Our process adapts to each - right grit, right pressure, right finish.
Sanding removes only a thin layer, preserving the existing wood and saving significantly compared to replacement. Plus: dust, dirt and allergens are lifted from every crevice, leaving a healthier home behind.

Oak - open-grain, stain-friendly
Oak has the most open grain of any common hardwood, which means it accepts stain beautifully but also collects more dust and allergens over time. Our oak process leans heavily on the dust-free vacuum extraction during sanding, and we apply waterborne polyurethane to seal the grain without yellowing under UV.
